Mariyam Shiuna
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Ms. Mariyam Shiuna joined the Pension Office in April 2023 as the Chief Operating Officer. She is responsible for oversight, and providing leadership and guidance for the execution of all business processes related to the Pension Services Division.
Prior to joining the Pension Office, she served as the President of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Maldives. She also served as the Executive Director of Transparency International’s chapter in the Maldives. She has over 10 years of experience in leading organizations; and in undertaking research, training development, advocacy and policy making in the areas of governance, anti-corruption and business integrity.
She holds a Master’s degree in international development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London; a Bachelor’s (honours) degree in History from London Metropolitan University, and a postgraduate certificate in Politics from Birkbeck College, University of London.
