Ahmed Saruvash Adam joined the Pension Office Board on 10 March 2025 as a
member representing the private sector.
Ahmed Saruvash Adam is a seasoned finance and economic development expert with
a strong track record in shaping fiscal policy and driving financial reforms
in the Maldives. As Chief Financial Budget Executive at the Ministry of
Finance, he played a key role in national budget management, macroeconomic
forecasting, and tax policy formulation, significantly enhancing fiscal
transparency and governance.
He also served as Chairperson of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority’s
(MIRA) Board of Directors, leading strategic planning and policy development,
and as a Board Member of the Maldives Monetary Authority, further
strengthening his influence in the financial sector.
Currently, Saruvash is a finance and business development consultant,
leveraging extensive experience across public and private domains. His
expertise includes financial modeling, business process optimization, and
investment strategy.
Committed to policy research and economic discourse, he is a Board Member of
The Maldives Policy Think Tank and writes for local publications on
macroeconomic and fiscal issues.
Saruvash holds an MSc in Economic Development and Policy Analysis from the
University of Nottingham, UK, and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from
Monash University, Australia.
